THE FANS!!!!!!!!!!
The lucky ones with a ticket gave the players and all inside that day (and outside) a right royal send off with songs all through the game, paying tribute to the legends of Arsenal both past and present.
The sounds echoed around Avenell Rd to Finsbury park for all to hear.........
" ...the greatest team ...the world.. has ever..seen"

The final farewell
"All good things must come to an end" it is said and so it was for the glorious home of football that was HIGHBURY. She was a magnificant palace and the most wonderfull of hosts who held fort to some of the greatest matches ever played out in the history of the beautifull game.
so it was with heavy hearts lightened only buy the propspect of giving this grand old lady of football a proper goodtime send off, that the fans gathered in their masses, to say there last thank you's and have one last singsong under her shadows
WELCOME
Welcome, hola, and thank you stopping by this new and exciting little web blog, deditcated to the memory of the grand old home of Arsenal F.C.
On this page I have put together a small collection of photographs that I took on the last day of the season, when Arsenal played host to Wigan and also said goodbye to their magnificent home that was Highbury. It was a fantastic occasion for so many reasons but none more so than for the way that so many people came together and gathered outside the ground and in the streets of Finsbury park even though the stadium itself was full to bursting. It was a great send off for a very dear Friend to so many.
